As a third-generation settler, I hold deep gratitude that my ancestors were able to come to this land in search of safety and freedom from death and persecution.
At the same time, I recognize that their opportunity to settle here is inseparable from the ongoing impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples.
I approach my work with Indigenous individuals, families, and communities with an openness to learning, and a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. I strive to centre Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural values, and lived experiences within the therapeutic space, recognizing clients as the experts of their own lives and cultures.
My practice is grounded in relationship-building, and I remain continually reflective about my role as a Canadian settler.
I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity in to work alongside the communities of Mayo with the Nacho Nyak Dun First Nation, Pelly Crossing with Selkirk First Nation, Ross River with Ross River Dene Council, and Carmacks with Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation citizens, and for the relationships and learning shared in these places.
I offer NIHB services for Indigenous people.
I acknowledge I live, work and play on the ancient traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation, and the Ta'an Kwach'an Council.
